Our first inspirational person of the month of 2015 is Chad Pfeifer. Not only is he an inspiration, his story is that of a hero who never gave up. After a surviving an IED explosion in Iraq, Pfeifer had to undergo an emergency amputation that resulted in losing his left leg. While in recovery, Pfeifer picked up golf as a suggestion from a fellow soldier, who had lost both of his legs in Iraq.
He quickly learned that this was the game for him, and moved to Arizona with his Wife to further his golf career after becoming a scratch player. Pfeifer went on to win the National Amputee Golf Championship and the inaugural Warrior Open in 2011, not only once but three times. In 2014 he finished in fifth place at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe.
